This
layout was built to replace ‘Pilford Yard’, my previous shunting layout. And
follows the same ‘Inglenook Sidings’ principles. Namely 2 sidings that hold
3 wagons each, 1 siding that holds 5 wagons, and a head shunt that holds 3
wagons and a loco. 8 wagons are placed onto the layout and corresponding
cards are shuffled. 5 of the cards are then dealt out and a 5 wagon train is
then marshaled to match.
The layout itself is
imagined to be the goods yard of a small GWR branch line terminus, the
station area being on the other side of the road bridge. Maybe one day I’ll
get round to building that bit too…
